Volunteering Possibilities

BVSNW currently seeks volunteering placements  for us and for our partner organizations throughout Wales.

BVSNW would like to invite you to come along and join us as a valuable volunteer. As a volunteer you will be involved in a vast range of activities and projects that will directly benefit the diverse communities throughout Wales.

At the same time, you will gradually develop your skills through training and confidence building as well as from the satisfaction that comes from contributing to the development and capacity of the Black & Minority Ethnic (BME) Communities throughout Wales.

You can commit to volunteering for as little as a couple of hours a month and for most volunteering, no special qualifications are needed. Everyone can be a volunteer. Your age, background, previous experience and present needs don't matter - there is an opportunity to suit you. Finding an opportunity to suit isn't always easy, but we will suit your individual needs and respect your own pace to enable you to make the right decision.

Volunteering for BVSNW can be both challenging and rewarding. You'll also have an opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, improve your CV and make a valued contribution to our work. Most of all, we'll make sure your time volunteering with us is enjoyable!

Get involved with our busy schedule of events throughout Wales such as Black History Month, Chinese New Year or Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month.
Or assist in our every day activities to support BME individuals and organisations nation wide.

Assist with the everyday administrative support for BVSNW through filing, photocopying etc. or work with members of out project teams on live projects, the choice is your. We will give you the skills and support to make your volunteering experience with us valuable and transferable.

We are also looking for volunteers for our partners throughout Wales, these include grass roots organisations, charities and also the police and fire services.
These organisations would very much like to attract volunteers from BME backgrounds and they have the resources to offer training suited to your specific needs.
