Young People Introduction
We here at BVSNW pride ourselves on the work we carry out with young BME people. We have developed a number of good working relationships with partners and various agencies to co-ordinate and support projects.
We work closely with Cardiff Children & Young People’s Partnership (CCYPP), Welsh Assembly Government – Minority Ethnic Youth Forum and local networks and forums promoting opportunities for young BME people. We have representation on the CCYPP Framework and Partnership Board and use these opportunities to influence on priorities and strategic matters.
In particular we have worked closely and provided consultancy support for the Welsh Assembly Government on the development of their Minority Ethnic Youth Forum and have encouraged the participation of BME young people throughout Wales.
We are continuously exploring ways of engaging with wider groups of BME young people and encouraging their active participation within all levels of Welsh society.
